Brown v. Board of Education - National Historic Site in Topeka, Kansas

The story of Brown v. Board of Education, which ended legal segregation in public schools, is one of hope and courage. When the people agreed to be plaintiffs in the case, they never knew they would change history. The people who make up this story were ordinary people. Board of Education National Historic Site offers a variety of standards-aligned, age-appropriate field trip programs that enhance and reinforce classroom lessons in elementary and middle school history, social studies, civics, and English/language arts to connect students to the Brown case and its enduring relevance today.
